The story is about two people who meet, silently, across a train platform.
I met Natalie Setoute, writer and director of the film, at the Media Technology and Film Society meeting in my first semester at BCC. She expressed interest in having her production documented with production stills and also some images that could be used in promotional materials. i showed her some of the nature photography I had done, up to that point and she was very interested in working with me. Then I met the cast and crew of the production, during several pre-production meetings and readings. Once the shoot dates were set we readied ourselves but then we hit a snag. The main actor, Akis Ntonos, had to to shoot a national commercial which had to be done on that specific date. Natalie thought he might not return, considering her film was not a paying gig. However, once the commercial was done, Akis called and said he would be ready to shoot. She was a bit surprised, but glad nonetheless, because he had embodied the character so well. He was also happy she didn't replace him because he truly loved playing the character. He even helped fill the role of the female lead with a fellow actor, Nancy McGuire, and the rest, as they say, is history. |
